Who was Jesus Christ in the Bible?
Also known as Lord, Son, Lamb, Saviour, God, Holy, and more
The Messiah — Son of God and Saviour
Jesus of Nazareth is the centre of the whole Bible — born of Mary in Bethlehem, raised in Galilee, and revealed as the promised Messiah in the line of David. He taught the coming of God's kingdom, healed the sick, and welcomed the outsider. After being crucified in Jerusalem he rose from the dead, which his followers proclaim as the heart of the good news. Both the Matthew and Luke genealogies lead to him.
🤯 What might Jesus Christ have looked like?
A first-century Galilean Jewish man — most likely olive-skinned, dark-haired and bearded, in an ankle-length woven tunic and cloak. Scripture gives no physical description; the focus is on who he is, not how he looked.
