Prophet who led Israel out of Egypt

Born a Hebrew in Egypt and raised in Pharaoh's household, Moses was called by God at the burning bush to lead Israel out of slavery. Through him came the plagues, the parting of the sea, and the Law given at Mount Sinai. He led the people forty years through the wilderness toward the promised land.
